Shop Policies and Other Important Information
- Payment - My accepted methods of payment are PayPal, Stripe, WePay, Dwolla or cashier's check or money order. FYI: You may pay with a credit card through PayPal without joining. If you would like to use a payment method other than PayPal, please contact me to arrange payment. Do not use the shop widget here on the site. Once I see the money, I'll get the item(s) on its(their) way.
Taxes: VA residents must pay 5% sales tax. Sorry, I like to stay out of trouble with the revenue service.
Customs charges: If you live outside the United States, your country may levy customs charges or VAT on your shipment. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer. - Shipping - I will send items out as soon as payment is confirmed - usually within 24-48 hours of receipt. Generally I package everything in a bubble mailer or similar for shipping. I want to make sure everything is as secure as possible. I also reuse/recycle packaging materials as often as possible.
My preferred carrier is USPS first class mail but I will be happy to work with the customer if they prefer an upgrade to priority/express mail or switch to UPS/FedEx. I've recently made a change to my shipping policy. I am now insuring every package with a value more than $15. That way everyone is protected if something goes missing in the mail. I've seen an increase in that happening with some of my personal purchases and I want to make sure that doesn't happen to my customers! Thank you for understanding. - Refunds and Exchanges - I stand behind my work 100% and I realize sometimes things happen and clasps break or eye-pins pull apart. I will be happy to replace clasps, broken rings, broken eye-pins, etc. at no charge. I will also be happy to size/resize items if they don't fit - just send them back with a note letting me know the issue and how you would like it fixed.
Please be aware that anodized metals may fade, enameled copper wire may chip, brass and copper will tarnish (though if you prefer them shiny, they are easily shined back up again). Please be aware of this when you buy. I do not generally consider these problems an issue I can 'repair.'
One exception to this rule is the rubber/EPDM/neoprene rings that I use in my stretchy bracelets. On occasion I've had rings break on me when weaving jewelry so I know that it is possible for them to be weak. I try to catch any issues before they leave me but if you buy a stretchy bracelet and one (or more) of the rings break for any reason - except intentional cutting - I will be happy to fix it at no charge.
REFUNDS: To take the worry out of gift shopping, if you buy an item for a gift (or for yourself) and the recipient doesn't like the item or would like a different one, I will allow returns in the item's original condition within 30 days for refund or store credit, in the value of the items purchased (minus shipping costs).
- Custom Orders - Custom work is an exciting challenge and I welcome the opportunity. If you have something that you're wanting and you think I may be able to make it, please send me a message letting me know your idea, what materials you would like, etc. I require 50% of the settled price up front with the balance paid upon completion of the item. Of course, if the buyer wishes to pay for the whole thing at time of the commission, that is fine too.
Store owners: I would be happy to produce items to consign in shops. If you have specific items in mind, please contact me at [email protected] and let
me know what you'd like and the terms of consignment you're willing to offer. We can work out a deal from there.
